Loch Lomond is a mere 30 miles from Glasgow so getting here is always relatively easy. During the tournament, most transport providers put on extra services so getting to Europe’s finest golf course is even easier.

By Road

From the South
From Glasgow take the M8 until you reach the Erskine Bridge proceed over bridge onto A82 road North to Luss. Follow A82 to the venue. AA road signs will be posted from 7 miles out from the course.

From the North
Take the A82 South towards Luss. Continue past Luss and on to Loch Lomond Golf Club which will be on your left hand side. AA road signs will be posted 7 miles out from the course.

By Air

The nearest airport is Glasgow International Airport. Loch Lomond Golf Club is approximately a 30 minute drive. Travelling over the Erskine Bridge and following the signs onto the A82 road to Luss.

By Rail/Bus Link

The closest train station to Loch Lomond Golf Club is Balloch. Trains run from Glasgow Queen Street to Balloch Monday to Saturday at 30 minute intervals and on Sunday from Glasgow Central Station.

Bus operators, First, are delighted to once again be offering a bus link to the Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond Golf Club. A half hourly shuttle will operate Thursday to Sunday linking the course with the regular rail service at Balloch Station. Holders of Scottish National Concessionary Scheme Cards pay £1.30 single, children under 16 pay £1.00 single and OAPs can travel for free.

Buses run at the following times:
Thursday and Friday from Balloch Rail Station at 07.20 and every 30 minutes until 19.20. Return from Loch Lomond Golf Club is at 07.55 and every 30 minutes until 19.55.

Saturday from Balloch Rail Station at 07.20 and every 30 minutes until 18.20. Return from Loch Lomond Golf Club is at 07.55 and every 30 minutes until 18.55.

Sunday from Balloch Rail Station at 09.10 and every 30 minutes until 18.40. Return from Loch Lomond Golf Club is at 09.45 and every 30 minutes until 19.15.

Car Parking

Public Car Parking: For free public car parking please follow the AA road signs as you approach the venue.

All guests holding a registered blue disabled badge will gain admission to the disabled car park and use of the courtest shuttle bus.
