Terms & Conditions of the Competition

  1. Eligibility: Entry is open to one entry per household per prize, excluding employees of Barclays Bank PLC directly involved in the promotion, their immediate families, Barclays agencies and providers and anyone else professionally involved in the promotion. Entrants must be UK or Eire residents aged 18 or over. Access to the internet is required. Employees of the PGA European Tour are not eligible to take part.
  2. In order to enter the competition you must fully complete the entry form and successfully answer the competition question by Friday 27 June 2008.
  3. There will be a prize draw on the 30 June 2008.The competition opens on 22 April 2008 and the closing date for entries is 27 June 2008. An independent observer will supervise the draw. The winner will be selected at random and notified in writing via email no later than 30 June 2008. Entry implies acceptance of these rules. All reasonable effort will be made to contact the winner, however, if the winner cannot be contacted within 7 days of the draw date or declines the prize, an alternative winner may be chosen. Winners of the hospitality day or the round at Loch Lomond will receive the prize within six weeks of the draw. Winners of the set of Ping golf clubs will be notified on or about the 30 June 2008. The manufacturer will then contact the prize winner to arrange a club fitting at a mutually convenient time and place.
  4. No entrant may win more than one prize.
  5. Prizes are as allocated, are non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives. Barclays Bank PLC reserves the right at any time to substitute the prize or any part of it for a prize of comparable value.
  6. Competition entrants must have a golf handicap of 24 or less to win the round of golf at Loch Lomond. All entrants should note that the tee time for the prize winners will be 10.24am on 11 August 2008. This time and date is not transferable.
  7. The prize winner will be responsible for making any necessary travel and accommodation arrangements which may be associated with the prize.
  8. Entrants agree that if they win, Barclays Bank PLC and anyone providing a service to Barclays Bank PLC related to the management, coordination or fulfilment of the prize shall have the right and permission to use their names, voices, cities/provinces of residence, photographs, and/or likenesses to publicize the prize giving presentation.
  9. An independent observer will supervise the draw. The name and country of the winners and the name of the independent observer will be available from Barclays Bank PLC. The prize draw results are final and no other correspondence will be entered into.
  10. If Barclays Bank PLC has reasonable cause to believe that any prize draw has been compromised in any way, it reserves the right to cancel the prize draw outright, or declare individual entries invalid.
  11. The promoter of the prize draw is Barclays Bank PLC, 1 Churchill Place, London E14 5PH.
  12. Barclays Bank PLC takes no responsibility for entries which for technical or other reasons are not entered into the draw. Barclays Bank PLC can accept no responsibility for, and reserves the right to refuse, entries which are corrupt, incomplete, lost or damaged or fail to arrive by the closing date. Barclays Bank PLC can accept no responsibility for entries which are lost or damaged in the post. Proof of posting does not constitute proof of entry.
